Cooking

My love for cooking started at a very young age.  I loved sitting at my Nannie's counter top watching her making all sorts of yummy goodness while wearing her trademark pink apron with a blue coffee pot on it.  She would make me and brother snacks and would spoil us with good ole southern breakfasts...fried eggs, thick bacon, toast, fruit etc.  The best way to wake up if you ask me :)  My Nannie showed me how to have fun and just "go with it"... she never wrote down her recipes but remembered them.  I miss calling her up and asking her "Nannie, how do you make your meatloaf?" or "Nannie, what kind of beans do I use for this?"  Everytime I step into my kitchen and put on an apron I think of her, all the fun I had learning from her and our long conversations at the counter top.  I love and miss you Nannie!
